Slow to begin. Faltered near 700m & subsequently eased out of the race.Jockey exempted from weighing in. A post race veterinary examination revealed that the gelding had sustained a fracture to its left fore fetlock.
Rider reported mount never felt comfortable in its action during race & as he had concerns, he eased his mount out of race.Vet exam revealed lame left foreleg.Can't race for 11 days, must B/Trial & Vet Cert required before racing.
Jockey J B Hamel pleaded guilty to charge under MJC Rule 14 (xvii)(a) for negligence, in that he failed to ride his mount out fully for approximately four strides over the concluding stages. He was issued with a monetary fine of HK$3,000.
Was held up in the early stages of the home straight and leaving the 300 metres was obliged to shift to the outside of 7 Modena Best to obtain clear running.

Shortly after the start had its hindquarters bumped by 1 Eclair Mirage. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.

In the early part of the home straight was held up and unable to establish clear running until near the 100 metres. Leaving the 100 metres raced in restricted room and had to be eased momentarily.
