	Introduction :	33-year-old Chan Un Cheong, a graduate of the MJC Apprentice School commenced race riding as an Apprentice Jockey in 1995 indentured to trainer K C Man and later trainer K S Cheong. He scored his first career win on 5 March 1995 on board “Heart To Heart” and was the first one amongst his class to score 50 winners. He was granted a Freelance Jockey’s Licence in December 1997. One of his career highlights was winning the Macau Apprentice Jockeys Invitation Bowl with “Eternal Stories” in 1995. Chan has ridden some 140 winners, including 1 win in Australia in August 1995. He decided to hang up his boots in August 2004 following which he was granted an Assistant Trainer’s License attached to trainer K C Man. In December 2008 he resumes his riding career. His minimum riding weight is 117 lbs (No Claim).
